About me

I've always considered myself so lucky that I grew up in the era when computers were starting to become more mainstream shortly after the dot-com bubble. My family had a single computer at home that we took turns using. A lot of my computer time was spent tinkering; I wanted to learn the ins-and-outs of my computer and make it do more things for me.
Fast forward a lot of years later when it came time to figure out what I wanted to do in life, the answer came naturally: software engineer. I wanted to take my fascination with controlling computers to the next level and solve other people's problems with it.
Nowadays, whenever I'm not writing code, I still like to tinker with technology all around me, like furiously automating my home even though my wife isn't all that impressed.
So, I've managed to find other things to keep me occupied. Our Golden Retriever pup Betty has taken up a lot of my time lately. When we're not catching out on the latest shows, movies, and video games, we're out exploring sunny San Diego.
My preferred activity would consist of being at the beach with my wife and pup, eating a California burrito and watching the sunset, all while watching the Padres win on my phone.
